About Prof.(Dr.) Dwarkadas Baheti


	Dr.Baheti is Professor & Head Unit of anaesthesiology, Chief, Pain Management Clinic, at Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences mumbai. He is also consultant pain physician at Shushrusha Hospital and Raheja Hospital, Mumbai. He is a Post Graduate Teacher & Examiner to MD (Anaesthesiology) to Maharashtra Health University. He is Examiner to Diploma in Anaesthesia- College of Physician and Surgeon (C.P.S.) Mumbai. He is a Member Editorial Board Bombay Hospital Journal an Index Journal. Dr.Baheti is organizing “Pain Awareness Program” for lay people (Non medicos), in the language they understand, at all India level and at many national and international conferences.

Dr.Baheti is a well-known clinician, researcher & pioneer in pain management. He has lectured nationally and internationally, authored over 30 articles and book chapters. Dr.Baheti is pioneer in organizing of hands on cadaver workshop, and has vast experience as course director for live demonstration workshops. He has trained many consultant pain management physicians and residents in India and abroad. Dr.Baheti MD completed his residency in Anaesthesiology at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (P.G.I.M.E.R.), Chandigarh in 1975. Dr.Baheti was appointed as International Scholar (1991) to Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland –U.S.A. He was Awarded ICRETT fellowship (1996) to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA. Dr.Baheti held many national and international organizational position, to name few as Organizing Chairman Global Update on Pain (IV) 2009, Secretary General, to Global Update on Pain (2000,2003, 2006); President, Indian Society for Study of Pain (2000-2001),
